Kisspeptin in human reproduction: KNDy neuron review (Endocr J 2024) A 2024 review reports that peripheral kisspeptin raises gonadotropins in humans; twice-daily subcutaneous kisspeptin-54 in hypothalamic amenorrhoea increased LH pulses but lost effect within 14 days through receptor desensitization; and an intravenous kisspeptin-10 test helped predict progression in delayed puberty.
Context: Narrative review of human studies.
Limitations: Review; doses and study sizes not given; summarizes cited human studies.
Route: SC (kisspeptin-54), IV (kisspeptin-10)
